Meet the team, before you meet the client

Your new client is about to work with a dozen names on an email chain. Send them a game instead, and they walk into kick-off knowing who everyone is.

Why it works for agencies

New clients meet an agency through a slide with twelve headshots and job titles nobody remembers. Then they spend weeks working out who to call. This replaces the slide. Stakeholders play it on their phone before the first meeting, mixing your people up and putting them back together. Each match tells them who that person is, what they do on the account and something about them a slide never would. By kick-off the room already has names, faces and a few things to talk about. It also says something about the agency before you have said a word: that you think about the people on the other side of the table.

How it works

  1. 1

Gather the team. Send one link to the account team and everyone adds a full-length photo of themselves.

  2. 2

Add the details. A role on the account and a few things worth knowing for each person. Your colours and logo, or the client's.

  3. 3

Send it with the welcome pack. One link in the kick-off email. It plays in any browser, on any phone, with nothing to install.

Photos that work for an agency team

Full length, head to toe, one person per photo, against a plain wall in decent light. Let people bring their personality: the jacket, the glasses, the thing they always carry. That is what makes your team memorable rather than another row of headshots. Anyone who would rather not appear can be left out without fuss.

Questions

Can we use it for a pitch, not just a new account?
Yes. Send it with the pitch response or leave it behind after the presentation, so the panel remembers who they met.
Can it be in the client's brand?
Colours, fonts and a logo - yours, theirs or both. It can feel made for them rather than off the shelf.
Does the client need an account?
No. Only you. Everyone else opens a link.
Can each person link to their LinkedIn?
Yes. For £1 you can add a link to each person. Tapping a face on the team page opens it.
Can we send people somewhere at the end?
Yes. On Business and Unlimited, people land wherever you choose when they finish: the kick-off agenda, a case study or your contact page.
Can we keep it private to the client?
Yes. Every game includes a passcode, so only the people you send it to can play.
